About the Team
The Risk PMO team protects Stripe's revenue and drives cross-functional strategy for company-level and organization-level priorities. The team operates at the intersection of Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Go-to-Market, coordinating large-scale programs with global impact.
Responsibilities
- Define, own, and execute program strategies for large-scale regulatory initiatives across a portfolio of global projects.
- Own high-stakes global programs end-to-end, from strategy and scoping through project planning, tracking, and change management.
- Improve operational processes by building systems and workflows that improve business outcomes and top-line metrics.
- Partner with Go-to-Market and account leadership to translate complex regulatory requirements into a competitive advantage.
- Build and run operating models across Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.
- Keep distributed workstreams aligned and accountable.
- Prepare strategic reviews for senior stakeholders and manage critical escalations.
- Establish data-driven approaches to gather user feedback and translate insights into product and operational improvements.
- Diagnose and resolve systemic operational gaps before they affect users.
- Build self-healing processes and scalable internal infrastructure.
- Champion Stripe's operating principles through rigorous thinking, rapid execution, and a user-first approach.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Program Management, Strategy & Operations, Management Consulting, or Go-to-Market Strategy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proven ability to work independently as an individual contributor while managing complex, multi-stakeholder project plans and deliverables from inception to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex, technical, or regulatory topics into clear and persuasive narratives for external and senior audiences.
- Deep experience designing, launching, and scaling complex cross-functional operating models, feedback loops, and PMO frameworks.
- Willingness to learn, adapt quickly to changing environments, and act on feedback to continuously improve.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in high-growth technology or fintech environments.
- Experience working with Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Go-to-Market or Sales teams.
- Experience using data visualization tools and analytical frameworks to support strategic decisions and measure program success.
The role is a highly visible, senior individual contributor position requiring strategic direction, operational execution, systems thinking, and the ability to influence senior leadership across complex, ambiguous programs.
