About the Team
The Solutions Architecture Team partners with users to realize their full potential through the adoption of prescriptive solutions that drive growth and success. The team influences revenue growth across Stripe’s product portfolio and collaborates with sales, support, product management, and Stripe’s executive team.
What You’ll Do
As a member of the team, you will build highly consultative, trusted relationships with C-level executives and technical decision-makers. You will provide business and technical thought leadership, advise customers on mission-critical challenges, and architect business models that create new monetization opportunities and growth for both users and Stripe.
Responsibilities
- Be a key member of a Stripe account team, with deep involvement in defining customer strategy.
- Identify and close complex opportunities and accelerate solution adoption.
- Understand and align with customers’ product and business roadmaps, uncovering opportunities for Stripe to accelerate their progress.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, COOs, CROs, CDOs, Heads of Product Engineering, and Heads of Payments.
- Understand customers’ business objectives and design and apply Stripe solutions to address their challenges.
- Develop and articulate end-to-end customer transformation journeys, future roadmaps, and architectures involving deep third-party integrations.
- Conduct business analysis and research on customers, industries, and competitors to support business growth.
- Lead strategy engagements to align with business priorities, design solutions, and secure technical wins through customer discovery, executive briefings, presentations, workshops, readouts, and solution demos.
- Expand Stripe’s footprint within existing accounts across global markets and business units by introducing new capabilities and local payment methods.
- Act as the “Voice of the Customer” by bringing insights, trends, and opportunities to leadership, product, and engineering teams.
- Participate in sales forecasting, Quarterly Business Reviews, and account and territory planning.
- Travel approximately 25% to connect with users in person and collaborate internally.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Fluency in English and French.
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role, such as Solution Consultant, Solutions Architect, or Sales Engineer, at a global software enterprise.
- Experience in payments, billing, invoicing, issuing, banking, or fintech.
- Executive engagement skills and presence, with the ability to establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and build credibility at all levels.
- Effective group-facilitation skills and confidence proposing and leading customer meetings.
- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architectures.
- Experience writing code in one or more of Stripe’s primary deployment languages, such as Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, or Go, is a plus.
- Excellent spoken and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Ownership mindset and passion for driving change in a constantly evolving environment.
- Ability to travel according to business needs.
Preferred Requirements
- Prior consulting experience.
- Experience at a growth-stage internet or software company.
