Are you a Java Developer who likes to work on innovative solutions? You will help ABN AMRO make banking more personal in a digital age, combining Identity & Access management with Java software development to optimize information security.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a DevOps block to develop and maintain high-quality, future-proof IT solutions.
  • Keep up to date with Java developments, technical capabilities, and the latest innovations.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing through communities and events.
  • Disseminate knowledge across teams and promote holistic technology solutions.
  • Write code that is safe, secure, and reliable.
  • Participate in peer reviews, provide and receive feedback, and find solutions to new challenges.
  • Contribute to the CIF1 scrum team, which provides Customer Identity Foundation Services and acts as an authorization broker between business applications and authorization sources within ABN AMRO.

Requirements

  • A process-oriented approach.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience in Java, preferably Java 17.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience developing microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring and/or Spring Boot.
  • Experience with some of the following: JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, consuming SOAP services, and REST APIs.
  • At least 3 years of experience with CI tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, and Nexus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • An analytical mindset, openness to direct feedback, and a strong focus on quality.

Working Environment

The role is based in Amstelveen and follows a hybrid working model. Employees are expected to work two days per week in the office and may choose their other working locations or times in consultation with the team. An ergonomic home-office setup is provided.
