Would you like to play a key role in the continued digitalization and standardization of reporting chains within the financial sector? Do you have in-depth knowledge of annual reports and financial reporting, and would you like to use this expertise to elevate reporting within ABN AMRO to the next level? Then the role of Standard Business Reporting (SBR) Project Manager is an excellent opportunity.

In this position, you will help drive the further integration of SBR within Customer Data Solutions (CDS) and the Financial Statements as a Service (FSaaS) domain. Your expertise in annual reports and financial reporting will be essential to the success of this transformation.

Responsibilities

Standard Business Reporting (SBR) Nexus provides the market standard for the exchange of business data. Through SBR Nexus standards, companies, organizations, and financial institutions can exchange data in a reliable and standardized manner.

As an SBR Project Manager, you will lead a key workstream within the Financial Statements as a Service (FSaaS) program. The primary focus is on structuring, standardizing, and digitizing annual report data. SBR is a crucial pillar in the ongoing digitalization, standardization, and efficiency improvement of reporting processes across the bank.

You will be responsible for the delivery, governance, and implementation of the SBR workstream. You will ensure that SBR is properly designed and implemented and sustainably embedded within the organization’s day-to-day operations. You will manage KPI performance, further develop the principle that “SBR is the standard,” and actively promote the adoption of SBR throughout ABN AMRO.

You will also develop the strategy for phasing out and automating the current way of working, while bringing together internal stakeholders around a shared vision and approach.

You will work at both strategic and operational levels, translating complex challenges into concrete actions and sustainable improvements. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including SBR Nexus, auditors, software vendors, and other banks. Your focus on governance, implementation, and adoption will help anchor SBR within the CDS organization and contribute to the future of financial reporting at the bank.

The workstream covers governance alignment, implementation, operational steering, taxonomy expertise, quality assurance, and the management of data quality and integrity.

Requirements

  • Academic (Master’s) level working and thinking capability, with the ability to quickly master complex subject matter.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience leading complex initiatives and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills, including preparing decision-making processes and facilitating workshops.
  • Affinity with data, processes, IT, and digitalization, with the ability to translate these into practical implementation.
  • Knowledge of SBR, taxonomies, financial reporting, or XML reporting is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • A proactive, results-oriented work style, entrepreneurial attitude, and strong sense of ownership.

Working Environment

Customer Data Solutions organizes generic customer processes and customer data across the bank. SBR Company Data will be positioned within the CDS organization, specifically within the Financial Statements as a Service program. The team aims to make annual report data available in a standardized, scalable, and future-proof manner.

You will work in an environment characterized by close collaboration between business and IT, involving internal stakeholders, external chain partners, and data-driven teams.

Benefits

  • Gross monthly salary based on a 36-hour work week, depending on knowledge, experience, and potential. A 40-hour work week is also possible.
  • Five weeks of annual leave, with the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
