As the manager of the Solutions Architect team within Applied AI Enterprise Tech at Anthropic, you will drive the adoption of frontier AI in partnership with the go-to-market organization. Enterprise Tech customers deploy AI at the core of their products and operations. You will use your technical skills and consultative sales experience to address customers' business needs, meet technical requirements, and provide reliable and safe AI solutions.

You will lead and grow the pre-sales team that partners with account executives to help customers understand and deploy Anthropic products, including Claude for Enterprise, Claude Code, and the API.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, manage, and guide a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects through technical guidance and career development.
  • Set team goals in collaboration with sales and other organizational functions.
  • Act as a technical sponsor for high-value strategic customers, advising on AI adoption strategies, use-case scoping, and proof-of-concept execution.
  • Partner with Enterprise Tech sales leadership to identify strategies for driving adoption of Anthropic products across customer use cases.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to prioritize customer feedback and resolve adoption blockers.
  • Travel to customer sites or conferences for executive-level sessions, technical workshops, and relationship building.
  • Establish a shared vision for creating solutions that enable beneficial and safe AI in technology products.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through conference presentations, webinars, and technical content creation.
  • Stay current with emerging AI/ML trends and the competitive landscape.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or similar pre-sales technical professional.
  • At least 3 years of technical pre-sales management experience.
  • Deep technical proficiency with enterprise AI use cases, API integrations, and LLM deployments.
  • Experience building and rapidly scaling teams and processes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching abilities.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to build relationships with technical leaders and engineering teams at leading enterprise technology companies.
  • At least high-level familiarity with the architecture and operation of LLMs.
  • Passion for making powerful technology safe and societally beneficial.
  • Active interest in emerging AI research and industry trends.
  • Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Required field of study: A field relevant to the role, demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Strong Candidate Qualifications

  • Five or more years leading Solutions Architect teams through hypergrowth, ideally growing teams from 10 to 50 or more people, with experience managing senior individual contributors and developing junior talent in complex enterprise software sales environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AI platforms and enterprise integration patterns, along with a track record of engaging C-level stakeholders in $10M-plus technical evaluations and enterprise sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated success adapting technical approaches across customer segments, from commercial customers to Fortune 100 organizations.

  • The annual salary range is $1-$2 USD.
  • Anthropic expects staff to work from one of its offices at least 25% of the time under its location-based hybrid policy; some roles may require more office time.
  • Anthropic sponsors visas and makes reasonable efforts to obtain visas for successful candidates, although sponsorship may not be available for every role or candidate.
