NVIDIA is seeking an Operations Research Scientist to join its information technology operations planning team. The role focuses on developing advanced analytics and optimization models for strategic and tactical supply-chain planning decisions, along with data analysis support.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver robust, implementable solutions for complex supply-chain planning requirements using modeling approaches.
  • Lead small projects to implement new functionality and improve existing functionality, including articulating requirements and translating them into effective solutions.
  • Develop prototypes and proofs of concept for optimization-based or simulation-based systems.
  • Apply optimization, simulation, statistical, and data analytics techniques to develop strategic decision-management tools.
  • Research and develop network and business models.
  • Perform quantitative analysis and build business and product scenarios to help improve profitability and market share.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • More than 12 years of professional experience, including more than 3 years of experience with deterministic optimization methodologies such as mixed-integer programming, network flows, dynamic programming, and approximation heuristics.
  • Strong hands-on experience with optimization solvers and tools such as MATLAB, CPLEX, Gurobi, ExpressMP, or SAS OptModel for solving supply-chain problems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of VBA and SQL.
  • Consistent track record of using analysis to deliver business results.
  • Ability to take charge of complex tasks with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with other staff members.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, machine learning, and data modeling in a database environment is a plus.

Benefits

The role offers competitive salaries, equity, and a generous benefits package. The base salary range is USD 200,000–322,000. Applications will be accepted at least until September 12, 2026.
