Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. The Payments team partners with strategic payment method providers across EMEA, including providers of Buy Now Pay Later, foreign exchange, bank transfers, and digital wallets. The team builds and operates end-to-end infrastructure that processes billions in monthly volume and enables buyers and merchants to transact using preferred payment methods.
The EMEA Payments Product Lead will shape payments strategy across EMEA, covering local payment methods, conversion performance, regulatory readiness, market expansion, and core payment infrastructure. The role owns the product vision and roadmap, product architecture, and execution of systems supporting critical payment flows across the region.
Responsibilities
- Define a multi-year vision for EMEA Payments that anticipates future merchant and ecosystem scale and complexity.
- Lead Engineering and Design through every phase of the product lifecycle, from 0-to-1 development to General Availability.
- Enforce rigorous standards for product quality, API design, and system reliability.
- Partner with Sales and go-to-market teams to pitch the product, win key deals, and translate user feedback into roadmap priorities.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the EMEA payment landscape.
- Manage relationships with partners and ecosystem vendors.
- Drive cross-functional alignment with teams such as Billing, Connect, and Checkout.
- Mentor or manage emerging product management talent.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product management or a related product role.
- A track record of shipping technical B2B2C products at a high velocity.
- Strong focus on product quality, including API design, dashboard UX, and documentation.
- Existing knowledge of the payments landscape or the ability to learn complex domains quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate user problems precisely.
- An ownership mindset and willingness to solve problems and delight users.
- Ability to analyze data, think from first principles, and deliver the right results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Ability to understand complex systems at a deep technical level.
- Experience in payment orchestration or payment processing.
