Details
Customer.io is seeking a Product Manager to improve how customers experience their first weeks with the platform. The role sits within the self-serve product area and owns a defined part of the customer journey, supported by data, experimentation, and cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Own the product experience of Customer.io's agent, working with the agent team to ensure it is first-class, competitive, and helpful for AI-first marketers.
- Collaborate with other Product Managers and squads to ensure the agent works effectively with each part of the platform it touches.
- Identify and resolve friction points using data, experimentation, and customer insight.
- Define and track success metrics for activation, retention, and monetization.
- Partner with Marketing, Customer Experience, and Design to ensure success across all touch points.
- Work with Engineering to scope and deliver improvements that produce customer value.
- Communicate priorities and progress clearly across teams and leadership.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience in SaaS, ideally including experience managing an agentic experience.
- Experience using or developing AI-powered tooling in a product workflow.
- A track record of improving activation or retention metrics.
- Strong analytical and experimentation skills; data-driven while comfortable with ambiguity.
- Experience collaborating across Product, Marketing, and Customer Experience.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and drive alignment.
- Deep curiosity about what helps customers succeed.
- Comfort working autonomously in a remote, async-first environment.

Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary is $137,000β$156,000 USD, or the equivalent in local currency, depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. Compensation zones are listed as follows:
- Zone 1: $164,400β$187,200
- Zone 2: $150,700β$171,600
- Zone 3: $137,000β$156,000
