The Education team focuses on advancing how humans learn with AI and making high-quality learning accessible, partnering with students, educators, and country leaders to ensure new tools are safe, effective, and trusted.
As a Product Manager for Education and Learning, you will shape the strategy and build products to advance learning experiences in ChatGPT. You will collaborate with AI research, design, engineering, product, growth, youth well-being, enterprise, go-to-market, and marketing teams to build ChatGPT into a learning agent and maximize its impact for students, adult learners, and educators.
This role is based in San Francisco, California. The hybrid work model requires three days in the office per week.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product vision for education and learning in ChatGPT.
- Partner with research teams to explore how AI can advance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to bring education features to life.
- Partner with growth, go-to-market, and marketing teams to bring tools to students, adult learners, and educators.
- Work with external partners in academia, education, and workforce development to track outcomes and ensure products are safe, effective, and aligned with real-world needs.
- Use data and user feedback to validate impact and guide product direction.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product management experience.
- Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
- Experience in education, EdTech, or learning research, or the ability and interest to work in complex, research-driven problem spaces.
- Experience building and scaling impactful consumer products.
- Motivation to support OpenAI's mission and build products that help people learn.
