Details

As a Product Manager for the Research team at Anthropic, you will own the ideation and deployment of new models and products that advance frontier, safe AI technology. You will work closely with research teams to productize credible applied research and identify high-potential use cases grounded in customer needs.

The role requires someone who can bridge research and ambitious product experimentation, create and grow new AI-enabled product categories, and connect advanced technology to products that deliver real-world value.

Responsibilities

Lead vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for frontier technologies that leverage the latest AI capabilities to solve real-world problems.
Partner with research teams to define, improve, and ship model capabilities within a research area.
Identify nascent research that could become transformative products.
Synthesize user insights into actionable requirements and evaluations.
Understand the AI landscape and ecosystem, including market capabilities and Anthropic's position.
Work with and influence stakeholders across research, product engineering, and platform engineering.

Requirements

Deep passion and curiosity for AI and large language models, with regular use of AI.
First-principles thinking and the ability to navigate and execute in ambiguous environments.
Deep technical background and strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
Willingness to go deeply into technical solutions.
Data-driven mindset with working proficiency in Python and SQL.
Strong user empathy and ability to synthesize vague or contradictory feedback into actionable priorities.
Track record of launching ambitious products that achieved distribution or commercial success.
Intellectual curiosity, humility, and ability to learn independently.
Ability to think creatively about the risks and benefits of new technologies.
Creative, hacker spirit and enthusiasm for solving puzzles.
Preferred: 5+ years of product management experience, including launching new products and scaling existing ones. Founder experience is a plus.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
