Details

Join the team building privacy and security products, including Threat Protection Pro, the NordLynx protocol, and VPN services. The role focuses on manual and automated quality assurance for backend, API, web, and desktop applications.

Responsibilities

  • Write manual and automated tests, including complex functional and integration tests, to verify acceptance criteria.
  • Perform functional testing of web and desktop applications and backend systems.
  • Support, maintain, and improve test documentation.
  • Report software defects and collaborate with multiple development teams to resolve them.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA team members to ensure product quality.
  • Apply Agile principles in day-to-day activities.
  • Advocate for product quality within a cross-functional development team.
  • Contribute to feature testing strategies and participate in QA Guild discussions.
  • Help maintain a smooth release process while upholding high quality standards.
  • Share knowledge and support best testing practices.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives related to testing and product quality.
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards for deployment.

Requirements

  • Proven quality assurance experience, with a strong focus on backend and API testing.
  • Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or similar tools.
  • Experience testing APIs, preferably GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong experience in test case design, feature test plan creation, and test execution management.
  • Experience with regression, functional, smoke, and ad-hoc testing.
  • Experience with test automation.
  • Familiarity with management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technical systems and structures.
  • Strong commitment to product quality.
  • Experience with Agile, Kanban, or similar methodologies and experience working in development teams.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Bonus Skills

  • Frontend automation using JavaScript or TypeScript with Playwright.
  • Experience with Cypress, WebdriverIO, Selenium, or other automation frameworks.
  • Backend/API automation experience using Node.js, Jest, Axios, or Supertest.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining existing test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with virtualization and GitLab CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
