Salary
- Model Developer IV: 13 000 - 22 000 PLN (monthly)
- Model Developer V: 17 300 - 28 000 PLN (monthly)

Role overview
Work in the Special Projects team within Credit Risk Model Development, tackling high-impact modelling challenges across ING. The team supports multiple portfolios, regulatory initiatives and strategic modelling projects, developing methodologies and analytical tools to improve credit risk management.
Responsibilities
- Tackle the most important modelling challenges across ING, supporting teams and projects wherever additional expertise or capacity is needed.
- Develop innovative solutions, methodologies and analytical tools that improve the way credit risk is managed.
- Translate complex quantitative topics into practical recommendations and tangible business impact.
Requirements
- Strong quantitative background (MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Physics, Engineering or a similar field).
- Experience within credit risk modelling.
- Strong learning agility; able to work in ambiguous environments and quickly build knowledge in unfamiliar areas without established frameworks.
- Ability to bridge technical and business perspectives and communicate complex analyses clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (C1).
You’ll get extra points for
- Experience in IRB or IFRS9 model development, validation or implementation.
- Experience acting as a sparring partner to senior management.
- Exposure to different risk disciplines, portfolios or regulatory initiatives.
Information about the team
Credit Risk Model Development is an international team of more than 400 risk experts located across Europe (including Amsterdam, Milan and Warsaw). The Special Projects team works across the organisation on varied and challenging topics rather than focusing on a single portfolio or process. The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be: "Model Developer IV" or "Model Developer V".
