Collibra is looking for a Senior Director of Information Technology who is equal parts strategist, technologist, and builder. This is a hands-on leadership role owning the IT function: defining strategy, leading teams across Infrastructure, Automation, and IT Support, and personally driving Collibra's internal AI roadmap. The role reports to the Chief People Officer and is a key voice in shaping how Collibra operates as an AI-first company internally. This is a hybrid role based in the Raleigh or New York City office; the hybrid model requires working from the office at least two days each week.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and execution of Collibra's IT roadmap and serve as the trusted technology partner to business and engineering leaders
  • Ensure reliability, business continuity, scalability, security, and AI-readiness across global workforce and office environments
  • Lead and develop a team across IT Infrastructure, IT Enterprise Applications, and IT Support
  • Partner with the AI Committee to define an internal AI strategy and implementation framework and drive AI adoption across the organization
  • Identify opportunities to build AI-powered workflows across the business to improve operational efficiency, velocity and output
  • Drive development of Collibra's internal AI deployment framework and lead adoption across non-technical teams, focusing on behavioral change and measurable outcomes
  • Set strategic direction for identity and access management (Okta), endpoint management (WorkspaceOne), and cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
  • Establish and track KPIs across IT disciplines to drive continuous improvement in system uptime, ticket resolution, employee satisfaction, and infrastructure performance
  • Partner with Security, GRC, Legal, People and Engineering to improve governance, risk and security posture, data privacy, and responsible AI implementation
  • Serve as the executive technology partner to business and engineering leaders, aligning enterprise technology strategy, AI adoption, and operational priorities
  • Own IT vendor relationships, participate in contract negotiations and budget planning

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role in a SaaS or technology environment
  • Demonstrated fluency across the current AI tool landscape and firsthand experience building AI-powered workflows
  • Track record of leading multi-functional IT organizations across Infrastructure, Integration/Automation, and Support
  • Executive-level experience developing and presenting multi-year IT strategies and AI roadmaps to C-suite and Board-level stakeholders
  • Deep expertise across enterprise platforms: Okta, AWS, GCP, Azure, Atlassian, Google Workspace; and automation/integration tools: Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft, Ansible, Terraform
  • Experience owning enterprise IT governance, vendor strategy, budget, and risk and compliance management (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
  • Demonstrated proficiency leveraging AI tools (examples cited: Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot) to solve real-world business challenges and drive measurable outcomes
  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent (advanced degree or certifications preferred)
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

You are

  • An executive-level, hands-on builder who has personally designed and shipped AI-powered workflows
  • Genuinely curious about AI and able to shape practical, business-focused AI roadmaps
  • A systems thinker who connects infrastructure, automation, support, and AI into a coherent enterprise technology strategy
  • A strategic communicator able to translate complex technical decisions into clear business narratives
  • A proven change leader with a track record of IT transformation and measurable outcomes

Measures of success

  • Within two weeks: complete a listening tour with C-suite, stakeholders and direct reports; review IT stack and vendor commitments; form an initial hypothesis for AI leverage
  • Within 30 days: map critical gaps across Infrastructure, Integration/Automation, and IT Support; identify and plan at least one workflow to ship in the next 30 days; present a preliminary IT strategy framing
  • Within 60 days: present a full IT strategy and AI roadmap with KPIs; implement a prioritization framework; ship at least one live workflow showing measurable impact; establish vendor evaluation framework
  • Within 90 days: ship an additional workflow; show measurable reductions in ticket volume or resolution time through deflection/routing; redesign at least one integration automation using AI with documented savings or error reduction

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $204,000 - $255,000 per year
  • Position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation
  • Salary offers are based on experience, skills, and location
  • In addition to base salary, Collibra offers bonus potential, equity for eligible roles, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401(k) plans, and more
