Details

The Terminal Deployment Infrastructure team builds the systems that deliver Bloomberg Terminal software updates to the right clients at the right time. The team develops a targeting engine for software delivery, enabling precise rollouts to specific users or firms, dependency control, rollback of complex deployment chains, component patching, and A/B testing.

Responsibilities

Build distributed systems spanning Bloomberg data centers and client PCs that update global installations continuously, securely, and silently.
Develop runtime infrastructure that resolves unique dependency graphs per user in real time.
Create full-stack tools that enable thousands of Bloomberg engineers to control software rollouts with pinpoint accuracy.
Solve complex problems involving dependency management, rollback, versioning, and real-time targeting.
Help define the future of how Bloomberg ships software.
Work with stakeholders on product enhancements.
Contribute to impactful cross-team projects and engage with the C++ and JavaScript communities within Bloomberg and across the industry.

Requirements

4+ years of software development experience using C++.
Experience designing scalable and maintainable distributed systems.
Good knowledge of software development life cycle best practices.
Enthusiasm for learning and keeping up to date with current technology trends.
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, and Python is desirable.
Interest in leading impactful cross-team projects is desirable.
