Senior Solutions Engineer, SLED

SentinelOne is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer, SLED, to work with State, Local, and Education prospects and customers across the West territory. The role involves aligning customer goals and requirements with SentinelOne offerings and supporting security pre-sales initiatives across Endpoint Security (EDR), Gen AI Security, SIEM, and Threat Hunting.

Responsibilities

• Work with sales partners to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns.
• Understand customer requirements related to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments.
• Track and document aspects of the sales cycle that are the primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer.
• Lead proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements.
• Prepare and lead technical presentations explaining how products and services work.
• Secure orders, guarantee product standards, and assure product delivery.
• Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain their cost-effectiveness.
• Participate actively within the broader technical team by sharing experience and best practices.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably endpoint cyber defense.
• Demonstrable experience handling objections and positioning against competitive technologies.
• Demonstrable experience speaking to both small and large audiences.
• Concise written and oral communication skills to lead business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and conversations with executives and technical audiences.
• Demonstrable experience successfully selling to mid-size and large customers.
• Ability to provide first-level technical support throughout the sales cycle, initially supporting customers through implementation before transitioning primarily to pre-sales engineering.
• Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection evasion techniques, and notable malware and anti-malware solutions and techniques.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Experience in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration testing, red teaming, or incident response is preferred.

Compensation

The U.S. role offers on-target earnings of $196,000–$270,000 USD, inclusive of base salary and commissions. The applicable range may vary depending on the candidate's location.
