As a Senior Solutions Engineer, Federal, you will work with Federal prospects and customers across the United States, aligning their goals and requirements with SentinelOne offerings. This is a security pre-sales engineering role focused on Endpoint Security (EDR), GenAI Security, SIEM, and Threat Hunting. The role requires a self-starter who can operate in a fast-paced environment, present innovative technology to executives and security practitioners, and support SentinelOne's sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales partners to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns.
  • Understand customer requirements related to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments.
  • Track and document aspects of the sales cycle that are the primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer.
  • Lead proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements.
  • Prepare and lead technical presentations explaining how products and services work.
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards, and assure product delivery.
  • Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain their cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate actively within the broader technical team by sharing experience and best practices.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably endpoint cyber defense.
  • Demonstrable experience handling objections and positioning solutions against competing technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience speaking to both small and large audiences.
  • Concise written and oral communication skills for leading business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and discussions with executive and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully selling to large and complex customer organizations.
  • Ability to provide first-level technical support throughout the sales cycle, initially supporting customers through implementation before transitioning primarily to pre-sales engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection evasion techniques, and notable malware and anti-malware solutions and techniques.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Experience in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration testing, red teaming, or incident response is preferred.

The U.S. role includes base pay plus commissions. The posted range is the on-target earnings range, inclusive of base salary and commissions. The applicable range may vary based on the candidate's location.
