Role Overview

Grafana Labs, the company behind the open observability cloud, is a 100% remote organization with a global team across 40+ countries.

This role joins the Majors Solutions Engineering team. Majors SE are in-house, customer-facing product experts who enable Grafana Labs’ worldwide growth by educating potential and existing customers, ensuring they are happy and successful, and providing a technical feedback loop into Product Management and Engineering.

Responsibilities

Join as an early member of a high growth team working together to solve technical and customer problems the right way
Partner with the Sales team to articulate the overall Grafana value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers
Own the technical engagement with customers and help to close high-velocity opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility
Deliver product and technical presentations to potential and existing customers
Proactively communicate with customers and internal teams to provide a feedback loop on products and the competitive landscape
Drive product conversations based on need and problems learned during customer interactions
Work with the team to enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public and internal enablement material

Requirements

Ideally located on the West Coast of the US
5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with Open Source technologies, or in the Metrics/Monitoring space (more junior hires may come later)
Remote-first collaboration experience; you need to learn to work and collaborate with an international team
First class written and oral communication skills to collaborate with remote-first internal teams and with worldwide customers
Ability to skillfully articulate the value proposition and the technical advantages of the products
Love solving technical challenges and thriving on bringing creative solutions to customers
Technical mindset and desire to grow technically (candidates may be recent grads from a coding bootcamp or have prior post-sales or engineering experience)
Self-motivated, initiative, creative

Compensation & Rewards

In the United States, the OTE (On-Target Earnings) compensation range for this role is $204,000 - $254,000
Includes Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
Compensation ranges are country specific; recruiters discuss market-defined pay range & benefits for locations outside the listed region
