Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its Majors Solutions Engineering team. The team serves as an in-house, customer-facing group of product experts, helping customers understand and succeed with Grafana Labs products through demos, hands-on enablement, presentations, technical evaluations, and ongoing engagement. The role partners closely with Sales and acts as a communication channel between customers, Product Management, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Join a high-growth team focused on solving technical and customer problems.
• Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Own technical customer engagements and help close opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical expertise, and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical presentations to prospective and existing customers.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
• Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems identified during interactions.
• Enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public and internal enablement materials.

Requirements

• Ideally located on the West Coast of the United States.
• 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with open-source technologies or in the metrics and monitoring space.
• Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills in a startup environment with varied and complex duties.
• Ability to work and collaborate with an international, remote-first team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to articulate Grafana Labs' value proposition and the technical advantages of its products.
• Enjoyment of solving technical challenges and creating solutions for customers.
• A technical mindset and desire to continue growing technically.
• Candidates may have a coding bootcamp background or previous post-sales or engineering experience.
• Self-motivation, initiative, creativity, and the ability to work autonomously.

Compensation

The United States on-target earnings compensation range is $204,000–$254,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset.
