New graduates at Sentry write production code on real projects. Engineers solve technical problems including building fast user interfaces for navigating millions of errors and traces, and architecting systems that ingest, store, and index terabytes of data every day. New graduate engineers receive coaching and mentorship while contributing to a complex, continuously shipping codebase.
Responsibilities
- Work across Product or Infrastructure Engineering, depending on team match.
- Build with the technology stack used by the team:
- Product: TypeScript, React, Python, and Django.
- Infrastructure: Python, Rust, Kafka, ClickHouse, and Kubernetes.
- Own the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and operating software in production.
- Communicate effectively with engineers on the team, engineers on other teams, and stakeholders such as product managers.
- Act on feedback, coaching, and mentorship from managers and teammates.
- Help build Seer, Sentry's AI agent that root-causes bugs, writes fixes, and reviews pull requests before they break production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a similar degree program.
- At least one previous internship or equivalent practical experience.
- Implementation skills in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Good knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with version control and unit testing.
