Details

Airbnb's Passport & Commerce organization builds the account and commerce foundation supporting identity, profiles, bookings, benefits, and business transactions. The iOS team develops account experiences for millions of guests and hosts, working with Payments and Wallet Engineering, Identity & Privacy, Profile & Community, and Guest & Host partners.

Responsibilities

Design and build iOS features using modern declarative UI and unidirectional state architecture.
Partner with product and design teams to create polished, accessible iOS experiences.
Collaborate with backend, Android, and web engineers to maintain consistent feature behavior and data across platforms.
Own well-scoped features from technical design through launch and iteration.
Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
Participate in code and design reviews.
Contribute to shared iOS patterns and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve mobile app bugs, performance issues, and reliability problems.

Requirements

3+ years of professional iOS engineering experience, including experience shipping features in a large-scale production consumer app.
Proficiency in Swift and modern iOS architecture.
Experience with declarative UI, such as SwiftUI.
Experience with unidirectional state management, including MVI, MVVM, or Redux-style architectures.
Experience with dependency injection.
Experience integrating APIs and collaborating with backend and other platform engineers.
Track record of delivering features from technical design through launch and iteration, with increasing scope and independence.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to operate with some ambiguity on a newly formed team.
Understanding of mobile app performance, accessibility, and release and CI practices for a large-scale consumer app.

Location

This position is US remote eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with the manager. Employees must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
