The Enterprise Platform Technology (EPT) team builds internal software for OpenAI’s go-to-market teams, streamlining workflows and improving decision-making. The team is developing a reliable foundation that other teams can extend with their own applications.

As a full-stack Software Engineer on EPT, you will build web applications, integrations, and shared platform capabilities. You will own architecture decisions, partner with business and engineering teams to improve seller workflows, and develop intelligent workflow experiences that help teams identify useful next steps. This role is based in San Francisco, California, and follows a hybrid model with three days in the office per week.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver full-stack web applications and integrations supporting go-to-market workflows.
• Define platform and application boundaries that allow other teams to extend go-to-market systems while protecting sensitive data, reliability, and data integrity.
• Work with product and business partners to prioritize useful capabilities, including intelligent experiences informed by relevant business context.
• Make architecture and product decisions for connected systems, with attention to sensitive data, reliability, and maintainability.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate across engineering and business teams.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional software engineering experience, excluding internships, on product-driven teams.
• Experience building large-scale, full-stack software applications in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to independently translate complex business needs into full-stack software.
• Experience making sound architecture and product decisions for connected systems.
• The EPT platform uses Python, FastAPI, and React, but experience with these specific technologies is not required.
• Agentic-system experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
