Who We Are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Stripe’s mission is to increase the GDP of the internet and put the global economy within everyone’s reach.
About the Team
The Solutions Architecture team works with Stripe’s largest and most complex users to understand their technical requirements and map those to Stripe technology.
As a Solutions Architect, you’ll partner with Sales to technically qualify new business opportunities, demonstrate the art of the possible with the Stripe Platform, and design robust technical solutions to enable payment transactions, manage money movements, and simplify financial operational processes.
What You’ll Do
You are an experienced technologist with a blend of technical depth and strong business consulting skills. You can write code, but prefer to work with users to create Stripe solutions that support customer business objectives in complex, mission-critical environments. You’ll think strategically about the art of the possible for users’ businesses and clearly articulate solutions in ways that inform and build confidence in Stripe’s technology.
You should be able to engage and motivate cross-functionally, both internally and within customer organisations, at all levels from C-suite executives to product engineering teams. You’ll have a track record of delivering outstanding customer results as part of a pre-sales team, along with a history of deep technical work that enables you to be credible with any audience.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Chief Technical Officers, engineering leads, and other technical leads at key users to share technology roadmaps, demonstrate the latest innovations, and define solution strategies.
- Lead technical discussions and solution deep dives with users on the value Stripe can provide.
- Advocate for customers internally, ensuring their needs are represented with product engineering and influencing product direction and priorities.
- Plan and participate in quarterly business reviews, identify new opportunities, and collaborate with account teams on detailed account planning.
- Create technical content, including reference architectures and demos, to share with users.
- Speak as a thought leader at industry conferences.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. Preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 4 years of work experience or equivalent in a mixture of roles including pre-sales, technical architecture, application architecture, systems architecture, integration, technical consulting, application delivery, or technical engineering, with at least 1 year in a customer-facing pre-sales role.
- Strong technical knowledge of software architecture, breadth across technology stacks, and deep hands-on skills.
- Comfort discussing technical concepts and explaining how they work from both product-feature and API-architecture perspectives.
- Ability to write code.
- Experience with large enterprise customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to large audiences in both Italian and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in payment systems and e-commerce solutions.
