The Solutions Engineering team helps large customers embed Sentry into their applications and workflows, from SDK integration to ensuring alerts and issues reach the right place at the right time. The role supports developers in identifying and resolving application slowdowns and errors while helping development teams improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Understand customers' pain points and objectives, and translate them into implementation and onboarding plans that demonstrate business value.
- Develop best practices, educational offerings, and content related to error and performance management, open source, and Sentry products, including how-to articles and videos.
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert, assisting customers with software engineering instrumentation and monitoring best practices.
- Provide workshop-level customer interactions to drive maturity of use and broader adoption.
- Work cross-functionally with product and development teams to provide feedback and align Sentry's product roadmap with improving time to value.
Requirements
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, or Software Developer, including experience leading projects and/or working with customers. Candidates with less or more experience are also encouraged to apply because multiple levels are being hired.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages and frameworks including JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, React, React Native, and native mobile development for iOS and/or Android.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge, and a can-do attitude.
- Interest in technology, developer tools, open source, and the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to create solutions, resources, and content from scratch, including scripts, code samples, demos, and sales-consumable collateral or documents.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected base salary range is $140,000 to $170,000 USD. Actual compensation depends on factors including work location, education, relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. The role is eligible for employee benefit plans and programs, including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage.
