Details

Sentry is on a mission to help developers write better software faster by building performance and error monitoring tools. The Solutions Engineering team helps large customers embed Sentry into their applications and workflows, from integrating SDKs to ensuring alerts and issues route to the right place. Sentry embraces a hybrid work model with in-office anchor days on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customers' pain points and objectives and translate them into implementation and onboarding plans that demonstrate business value.
  • Help developers identify and resolve slowdowns and errors in their applications.
  • Develop best practices, educational offerings, and content around error and performance management, open-source, or the Sentry product (for example, how-to articles, videos, scripts, code samples, demos, and sales-consumable collateral).
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert for customers, assisting with instrumenting software engineering and monitoring best practices.
  • Provide workshop-level engagement to drive maturity of use and broader adoption.
  • Work cross-functionally to provide feedback to product and development teams and help align Sentry's roadmap to improve time-to-value delivered.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a Solutions Engineer (preferred), Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, or Software Developer with experience leading projects and/or working with customers.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, React, React Native, and Mobile Native (iOS and/or Android).
  • Experience integrating SDKs and implementing error and performance monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable interfacing with engineers and engineering leaders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment across a variety of customer projects and industries; interest in developer tools and open-source.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $140,000 to $160,000 (actual base salary will be determined by factors including work location, experience, skills, and education).
  • Eligible to participate in Sentry's employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the position, including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage.
