Staff Endpoint Software Engineer

At SentinelOne, you will build lightweight security components for Prompt Security's Generative AI Security platform. The role focuses on core sensors and enforcement mechanisms operating across endpoints, browsers, and production workloads to provide real-time, adaptive protection against GenAI security risks.

The role requires end-to-end ownership of engineering work, direct engagement with customer deployments, and the ability to diagnose and resolve production issues. You will collaborate with security engineering, QA, product, and customer-facing teams to address high-impact GenAI security challenges and influence the product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize sensor components for minimal system footprint, high performance, low resource consumption, and maximum reliability across diverse customer environments.
• Evolve Agentic AI capabilities by helping design adaptive policy logic, improving decision engines, and expanding platform coverage based on customer use cases and roadmap priorities.
• Build endpoint and browser security components and integrate them into the platform for real-time GenAI threat detection and data protection, including prompt injection, sensitive-data leakage, and shadow AI.
• Own customer-facing technical problems end-to-end by investigating production issues, reproducing and fixing them quickly, and following through until the customer is unblocked.
• Translate business and roadmap context into engineering decisions that align technical choices with customer needs and business impact.
• Collaborate across security engineering, QA, product, and customer-facing teams to achieve customer and business goals.
• Stay current with Generative AI and platform security developments and incorporate relevant advances into sensors, agents, and extensions.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience with Python, Node.js, or a comparable programming language.
• Experience with macOS and Windows Endpoint Security.
• Proficiency in operating-system architecture and internals.
• Strong customer orientation, with the ability to take ownership of customer problems and diagnose and fix issues in real-world conditions.
• Business and product awareness, including interest in the roadmap, market, and customers, and the judgment to weigh technical decisions against business impact.
• Accountability, a growth mindset, and a commitment to personal and team development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Browser extension development experience with Chrome, Firefox, or similar browsers is an advantage.

Compensation

The U.S. base salary range is $156,000–$215,000 USD. The range may vary based on the candidate's location, and a different range may apply in some locations.
