The team focuses on making the platform easy to adopt, trustworthy for critical applications, and accessible to both human developers and coding agents.

Responsibilities

Developer Experience Core

  • Drive the technical direction of the Console and documentation platform.
  • Work with product and design from problem definition through launch.
  • Establish platform patterns and standards used by internal teams building features on the Console.

SDKs and CLI

  • Own SDKs across seven languages and the Claude Platform CLI.
  • Partner with API teams to ensure new platform capabilities are delivered as idiomatic, ergonomic SDK features on day one.
  • Drive code generation, testing, and release pipelines that keep SDKs across seven languages consistent and shipping quickly.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of practical full-stack engineering experience.
  • Ideally, at least 2 years operating at a Staff or equivalent technical leadership level.
  • Experience leading the design and delivery of complex, developer-facing products across the full stack.
  • Technical expertise in modern frontend and backend development, with demonstrated depth in languages and frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
  • A product-focused approach to building robust, scalable, and easy-to-use solutions.
  • Experience working in early-stage startup or rapidly evolving environments; experience building products from 0 to 1 is preferred.
  • Commitment to mentoring and supporting the growth of peers.
  • Experience driving cross-team and cross-organization alignment and shipping impactful work through influence.
  • Experience establishing engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver high-quality products in fast-paced environments.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The field of study should be relevant to the role through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Benefits

  • Annual compensation range of $405,000–$485,000 USD.
  • Hybrid policy requiring staff to work from one of Anthropic’s offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles potentially requiring more office time.
  • Visa sponsorship and immigration lawyer support are available, subject to role and candidate eligibility.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office collaboration space.
