Details

Anthropic is building the Claude Platform as a cloud-native, managed product that runs wherever enterprise customers need it, including across major cloud providers and Anthropic’s own infrastructure. The Distribution team focuses on cloud integrations, enterprise readiness, security, compliance, and operational capabilities.

Responsibilities

Develop the Claude Platform on AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure by bringing the API, control plane, and Anthropic features through each provider’s platform.
Build native cloud integrations and solve complex technical problems at scale in collaboration with Infrastructure, Systems, Networking, Databases, Inference, and other teams.
Develop enterprise enablement features focused on enterprise growth, security, compliance, and regulated or sovereign cloud environments.
Build capabilities including key management and encryption, audit APIs, usage visibility, access control, and international data residency.
Partner with core Anthropic teams and cloud service providers to deliver enterprise features across cloud platforms.
Own large-scale infrastructure systems and lead ambiguous, cross-team technical projects from design through production and operations.
Take full ownership of work from design through deployment and ongoing operations.

Requirements

At least 8 years of practical experience as a backend or platform engineer building scalable distributed systems, ideally at a technical lead level or equivalent.
A product-focused approach to platform engineering, with an emphasis on robust, scalable, and easily adoptable solutions.
Experience with cloud infrastructure at scale using Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Microsoft Azure, and/or experience with enterprise SaaS in a multitenant context.
Background in security, compliance, data residency, regulated environments, or sovereign cloud environments.
Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or a similar systems programming language.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The field of study should be relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Compensation

Annual salary: $405,000–$485,000 USD.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; there is no application deadline.

Work Policy and Logistics

Hybrid policy: Staff are currently expected to work from one of Anthropic’s offices at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more office time.
Preference is given to candidates based in New York or the Bay Area due to the team’s current locations.
Anthropic sponsors visas and will make every reasonable effort to obtain a visa for candidates who receive an offer, although sponsorship may not be successful for every role or candidate.
