- Manage and extend full-stack products supporting UC, including monitoring, administration tools, user-facing workflows, and AI-assisted capabilities.
- Automate administrative and operational work with Python, Bash, and generative AI tools so routine changes, health checks, and remediations are repeatable and auditable.
- Implement UC observability using Call Quality Dashboard (CQD), user experience metrics, and dashboards representing the user experience in rooms and meetings.
- Partner with IT, networking, facilities, security, and product teams to resolve issues across meeting rooms, clients, cloud services, and network paths.
- Document runbooks, standards, and change procedures to support the collaboration platform at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in Unified Communications, collaboration engineering, or a closely related IT platform role.
- Hands-on knowledge of Cisco Webex RoomOS, room systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco Webex Meetings, and Microsoft Teams meetings.
- Experience supporting enterprise collaboration environments, including meeting scheduling and joining, hybrid room-to-desktop interoperability, calendaring, client policies, chat, calling, video meetings, and day-to-day user experience.
- IT infrastructure knowledge spanning Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services as they apply to UC, identity, and supporting services.
- Working knowledge of AI models and development practices, with the ability to manage existing full-stack UC products.
- Demonstrated ability to automate and resolve UC administrative and operational tasks using Python, Bash scripting, and generative AI tools.
- Experience with API integrations, Microsoft Graph, and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with UC observability, CQD, and user experience metrics such as call quality, join success, reliability, and device health.
- Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, California.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with webcast and streaming infrastructure, including multicast distribution for large-audience live events.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Experience using packet capture, call-path analysis, device logs, and other UC troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of AI model architectures and modules for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and speech-to-speech systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a strong sense of operational ownership.
