Details

The Image Generation team builds image creation, editing, and transformation experiences in ChatGPT using multimodal AI models. The team partners with research, design, product, and platform engineering to deliver these capabilities across ChatGPT and mobile applications.

The role focuses on building and improving image generation experiences within the ChatGPT Android app. You will translate advanced AI capabilities into intuitive, performant mobile experiences used by millions of people worldwide.

Responsibilities

Build and ship Android features for image generation and image editing experiences.
Create intuitive user experiences that make advanced AI capabilities seamless and accessible.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Research, and Engineering teams to bring multimodal capabilities to production.
Improve application performance, reliability, architecture, testing, and developer tooling.
Optimize media-heavy workflows, rendering performance, networking, and responsiveness across a wide range of Android devices.
Own projects end-to-end, from ideation and implementation through launch, measurement, and iteration.
Help shape AI-powered creativity on mobile.

Requirements

Deep experience building Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development frameworks.
Experience shipping consumer-facing mobile products at scale.
Strong focus on performance, quality, and user experience.
Ability to collaborate closely with product, design, research, and engineering partners.
Interest in multimodal AI and image generation technology.
Experience building media-rich, graphics-intensive, camera, photo, video, or creative tooling applications.
Ability to work in fast-moving environments and help define product and technical direction.
