NVIDIA is seeking a CAD Tools Developer to join an Agile, multifunctional EDA software development team. The role focuses on developing tools that enable PCB electrical design, physical layout, and signal integrity capabilities for system designers across the company. It involves assessing requirements from the design community and building innovative solutions that improve tools and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an Agile, multifunctional EDA software development team.
  • Develop tools supporting PCB electrical design, physical layout, and signal integrity capabilities.
  • Assess requirements from the design community.
  • Build innovative solutions that improve tools and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of meaningful work experience.
  • Proven experience delivering EDA or ECAD solutions using Cadence System Capture and SPB Allegro Layout for sophisticated system-design implementations.
  • Experience with Cadence SKILL or other CAD-level programming.
  • Knowledge of system design and hierarchical sub-design.
  • Familiarity with automation in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Proficiency in Python and TCL.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Cadence System Capture TCL API.
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Git, continuous integration, and Perforce.
  • Knowledge of or experience with PLM systems.
  • Knowledge of modern web technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
