Collibra Engineer

Details

Build data governance platform capabilities that support Eneco’s ambition to become CO₂-neutral by 2035. You will work hands-on with Collibra, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka and related technologies to build scalable, automated and business-critical governance infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Configure and improve the Collibra platform to support ownership, access policies, lineage, glossary and data quality at scale.
• Turn data governance principles into practical standards and platform capabilities for business teams.
• Integrate Collibra with core platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks and Kafka.
• Design and implement role-based access control.
• Maintain custom domains for business teams including B2C, B2B, Trade and Finance.
• Ensure key data products are discoverable, monitored and compliant.
• Design and implement custom Collibra workflows.
• Support data product lifecycles and enforce best practices.
• Drive adoption of data governance through training, guidance and documentation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, analysts and Communities of Practice.

Approximately 70% of the role involves configuring, automating and administering the platform, while 30% focuses on shaping data governance across domains. This includes translating governance principles into data products, data contracts, workflows and other platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Collibra or a similar tool, including administration, asset modeling, permissions, workflows and integrations.
• A platform-minded engineering approach and the ability to turn governance requirements into scalable technical implementations.
• Familiarity with data products, data contracts, lineage and data quality monitoring.
• Ability to work comfortably with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Preference for infrastructure-as-code over manual click-ops.
• Ability to create documentation and support business teams.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, dbt and related tooling is a strong advantage.
• Experience level: 3–5 years or more than 5 years.

• Gross annual salary between €71,000 and €117,000, including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance and, depending on the role, a bonus or collective profit sharing.
