As one of the senior engineers on the platform that brings together home batteries, solar panels, electric vehicles and charging points in one smart energy system, you will own complex integrations end to end and help determine the team's technical direction. Your work will help thousands of households use their own green energy at the right time.

As a senior engineer, you will have a direct say in technical solutions within a team that reviews work, shares knowledge and provides genuine ownership.

Responsibilities

• Take complex features and integrations from refinement through production independently.
• Turn architecture designs into scalable and maintainable practical solutions.
• Build event-driven services and APIs connecting devices in and around the home.
• Automate infrastructure and deployments using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate cross-service and production issues and resolve root causes.
• Identify design gaps, technical risks and dependencies early.
• Support team development through code reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing.
• Own the operational health of services, including testing, security, observability and stability.
• Make technical choices that remain useful over time and provide a foundation for further development.
• Contribute to the technical growth of colleagues through reviews, pairing and clear documentation.

Requirements

• Several years of experience building and running cloud services at scale, ideally on Azure. Strong AWS or GCP experience is also relevant.
• Experience with TypeScript, or strong development experience in another modern programming language and willingness to switch.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, APIs and IoT, including the associated trade-offs.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD.
• A serious approach to testing, security, observability and reliability.
• Ownership of delivered work, clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues, and predictable delivery.
• Interest in helping colleagues improve through knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Work Environment

You will join a pragmatic engineering team where everyone owns their work end to end. As a senior engineer, you will help shape the architecture and work closely with engineers, architects and product colleagues. The role offers room to contribute your own ideas.

Benefits

• Gross annual salary between €79,000 and €108,000, including FlexBudget and 8% holiday allowance, with a possible bonus or collective profit sharing depending on the role.
