Details

You will build and operate the platform that connects and steers home batteries, solar panels, electric vehicles and charge points across thousands of Dutch homes. The platform uses modern cloud technology and enables households to use their own green energy at the right moment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run cloud-native services on Azure using Functions, IoT Hub, Event Hubs and API Management.
  • Design and build event-driven integrations and REST APIs for use by other teams.
  • Build backend services for mobile applications that allow customers to view and control their home energy systems.
  • Develop integrations with OEMs and vendors, including battery manufacturers and charging-station suppliers.
  • Automate infrastructure with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Maintain quality through CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring and observability.
  • Build and operate reliable services and integrations that connect and control energy assets in customers' homes.
  • Maintain APIs and events that other Eneco teams can use confidently.
  • Implement automated, repeatable deployments through Terraform and CI/CD.
  • Monitor and improve the health and reliability of systems in production.

Requirements

  • Solid software engineering fundamentals and a focus on maintainable code.
  • Experience with TypeScript and Node.js, or strong development experience in another modern programming language with the ability to switch.
  • Cloud experience; Azure is preferred, while AWS or GCP experience is also applicable.
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture and APIs.
  • Ability to build reliable systems and take ownership from the first commit through production.
  • Interest in developing energy solutions for consumers.
  • The role is intended for candidates with 3–5 years of experience.

  • Gross annual salary of €69,000–€100,000, including FlexBudget and 8% holiday allowance; depending on the role, a bonus or collective profit sharing may also apply.
