Build and run cloud-native services on Azure, using Functions, IoT Hub, Event Hubs and API Management.
Design and build event-driven integrations and REST APIs that other teams use.
Build backends for mobile apps, so customers can see and steer their own energy at home.
Build integrations with OEMs and vendors (e.g., battery manufacturers and charging-station suppliers), handling that partners work differently.
Automate infrastructure with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Keep quality high with CI/CD, automated tests, monitoring and observability.

Solid engineering fundamentals and care about writing code others can build on.
Experience with TypeScript and Node.js, or strong development in another modern language with willingness to switch.
Comfortable working in the cloud; Azure is a plus (experience with AWS or GCP translates well).
Understanding of event-driven architecture and APIs, with a focus on building reliable systems when things go wrong.
Curiosity about new technology and ownership from first commit to production.
Motivation to work on energy solutions for consumers.

The role is part of the engineering team behind Home Energy Management, an enabling platform that connects energy assets in customers’ homes, interfaces with manufacturer systems, and enables safe and reliable control.

Gross annual salary between €69,000 and €100,000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role a bonus or collective profit sharing).
Hybrid working: 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year, max 2 consecutively.
