Details
Anthropic is seeking an experienced Program Manager for its Commercial Operations function. The role will transform commercial infrastructure into a revenue accelerator by building and executing operational processes that enable the company to scale product growth while maintaining execution velocity. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational excellence and can both define the future-state operating model and build the infrastructure required to achieve it.
Responsibilities
- Play a central role in Anthropic's Commercial Launch programs, helping evolve the established launch motion into a scalable, well-instrumented program that keeps pace with the product roadmap.
- Run launches end-to-end through the Commercial launch process, including intake and scoping for a portfolio of launches.
- Translate launches into commercial-readiness requirements covering pricing, billing, tax, marketplace, compliance, and selling motions.
- Collaborate with Product teams to develop paths to launch.
- Identify where launches slow down and drive resolution by proposing and implementing process and system changes.
- Clarify ownership and drive completion across Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and go-to-market teams.
- Build program components such as launch tiering, readiness criteria, playbooks, templates, service-level agreements, and training materials.
- Help shift programs from late-stage gatekeeping to early-stage partnership.
- Lead program-improvement workstreams involving pipeline visibility, readiness scorecards, guides, throughput metrics, and cycle-time metrics.
- Develop workflow tooling and automation for intake, tracking, approvals, and status management in partnership with Engineering and systems teams.
- Design clear cross-functional interfaces and processes spanning Product, Engineering, Finance, and go-to-market teams.
Requirements
- Experience building and operating new product introduction processes.
- 10+ years of experience in operations, with demonstrated success in billing, payments, or commercial operations. High-volume SaaS experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of billing systems, subscription management, and payments platforms.
- Proven experience building and scaling operational programs in high-growth environments, from initial 0-to-1 development through further scale.
- Willingness to perform hands-on operational work while also leading a team.
- Experience with automation initiatives and partnering with Engineering teams to build operational tooling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to demonstrate return on investment for operational programs.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder-influence skills across go-to-market, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Adaptability and comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while balancing multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A field of study relevant to the role, as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
- Optional equity donation matching.
- Generous vacation and parental leave.
- Flexible working hours.
- Collaborative office environment.
- Visa sponsorship may be available; Anthropic states that it makes every reasonable effort to obtain visas for candidates when an offer is made and works with an immigration lawyer.
Work Policy
Anthropic currently expects all staff to work from one of its offices at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more office time.
