Details

ING Hubs Poland is hiring for a DevOps MSSQL Administrator responsible for critical data flows and infrastructure supporting global clients. The role focuses on Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server administration, automation, security, monitoring, and production operations. The global ING job architecture naming convention for this role is “Engineer III”.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server environments.
Automate administrative tasks and manage CI/CD pipelines using PowerShell, Python, Azure DevOps, and Stonebranch UAC.
Ensure security compliance, manage access rights, and perform patching and audits.
Handle tickets, including L1/L2 triage, communicate in English, and manage SLA/SLO requirements.
Plan and implement changes, including changes in production environments.
Maintain documentation and runbooks.
Work with critical data flows and infrastructure supporting global clients.
Participate in shift work and on-call duties.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in a production environment.
Practical knowledge of SQL Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, including backup and restore, permissions, maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Experience with high-availability mechanisms, especially Always On Availability Groups and WSFC.
Good knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
Knowledge of core infrastructure services, including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy Objects, certificates, and service accounts.
PowerShell skills and experience automating administrative tasks.
Ability to diagnose application and database-related issues, including log analysis, connectivity problems, service errors, and performance issues.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as SCOM, Elastic Stack, Kibana, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or similar technologies.
Experience handling incidents, problems, and changes in a production environment.
Knowledge of security best practices for SQL Server and Windows Server.
Independence, attention to detail, accountability, and strong technical communication skills.
English proficiency at B2+ level.
Openness to shift work and on-call duties.

Additional Qualifications

Experience with Stonebranch UAC, Azure DevOps, and data orchestration tools.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP, and IIS.
Familiarity with Microsoft HPC Pack and SCOM.
