Details

Funda is looking for a Frontend Engineer who combines strong frontend skills with a broader product and architectural mindset. You will work on interfaces used by millions of users, contribute to shared frontend architecture (component library and AppShell), improve performance and Core Web Vitals, and collaborate closely with product, design, backend and QA in a Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain user interfaces used by millions of people.
  • Work in a cross-functional product team (design, backend, QA, product) using Scrum.
  • Review and give feedback on pull requests and participate in code reviews.
  • Contribute to company-wide frontend architecture and standards: maintain and improve the component library (built with RekaUI) and the AppShell.
  • Work on SSR performance and ensure pages stay fast during peak traffic.
  • Design and align technical direction for features and A/B tests with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and improve performance metrics (e.g. Core Web Vitals).
  • Share knowledge within your team and across the frontend guild.

Requirements

  • Currently living in the Netherlands and fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • Solid grasp of HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals.
  • Experience with Vue.js and ideally Nuxt.js.
  • Open to or familiar with Flutter.
  • Strong understanding of performance as a feature and experience improving Core Web Vitals.
  • Belief in testing and good documentation practices.
  • Strong communicator who thrives in collaborative teams.
  • Experience working with component libraries and shared frontend packages.
  • T-shaped engineer mindset: deep expertise in frontend with breadth across related areas.

Team

  • You will be part of a cross-functional product team (5–8 people) and collaborate with the broader frontend team on shared packages and frontend strategy.
