Are you energised by smart, scalable solutions? As a Medior Backend .NET Engineer at Funda, you will build software that helps millions of people take the next step on the housing market every day. You will work on features ranging from fast search results to smart data coupling and help shape how the Netherlands finds houses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine features that directly impact user experience, such as faster search results and optimised data streams for calculation tools.
• Contribute to Funda's microservices architecture and help ensure systems remain stable, scalable and maintainable.
• Analyse and solve problems, including performance bottlenecks and caching strategies.
• Collaborate with engineers, product designers and product managers to transform ideas into robust solutions.
• Carry out code reviews, share knowledge and learn from experienced engineers.
• Take ownership of code and services from initial idea through production and after release.
• Work in a multidisciplinary Scrum team using agile practices.

Requirements

• Experience with .NET Core, microservices, Kubernetes and Azure.
• Experience or interest in software architecture and hands-on development.
• A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for delivered software.
• Willingness to learn from others and actively share knowledge.
• Enjoyment of agile collaboration in a multidisciplinary team.
• Currently living in the Netherlands.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.

The role involves working with .NET 8, Kubernetes, Azure, event-driven architecture, Azure DevOps and cloud-native systems. Funda's platform is visited tens of millions of times per month, and software is shipped to production daily.
