Details

Are you a MSc student or in the last year of your BSc studying in the financial or economic field? This internship offers hands-on experience applying theoretical finance knowledge to real-world market and counterparty credit risk reporting and data analysis. You will join the Market Risk Reporting & Control team within the Finance organisation, focusing on data analysis, reporting, and communication of financial risk metrics to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Generate, analyse, and distribute high-quality market and counterparty credit risk reports.
Monitor the risk limits of ABN AMRO's trading and banking books.
Transform data into insightful reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Automate processes in Python.
Improve Power BI reports.
Assure the quality of market reference data for financial products used for risk and reporting purposes.
Support the team on larger projects, including report rebuilding and the automation of data checks.
Liaise with stakeholders outside the team, including risk managers, IT, and business developers.

Requirements

MSc student or final-year BSc student in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Demonstrable interest in financial products and markets.
Experience with Python programming is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
Available to start in October 2026.
Available for a minimum of six months.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, a proactive attitude, enthusiasm, and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
