Digital Assets are transforming financial markets. Tokenisation is changing how assets are issued, distributed and serviced. Stablecoins and digital cash are reshaping payments and settlement. Crypto-assets continue to evolve as an asset class and are increasingly becoming part of mainstream financial services.
ABN AMRO's Digital Assets team develops and drives strategic initiatives at the intersection of financial services, technology and innovation. The team identifies opportunities, builds business cases and works with stakeholders across the bank and external ecosystems to bring new capabilities and propositions to market.
Responsibilities
- Help define and drive the bank's Digital Assets strategy.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across tokenised assets, crypto-assets, stablecoins and related market infrastructure.
- Build business plans, investment proposals and strategic recommendations.
- Lead complex innovation initiatives from idea generation through validation and implementation.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across business, product, technology, legal, compliance, risk and operations teams.
- Help develop new capabilities and client propositions that contribute to the bank's long-term Digital Assets ambitions.
- Represent ABN AMRO within the Digital Assets ecosystem and maintain a strong network of industry participants.
- Translate technology, market and regulatory developments into strategic opportunities and executable initiatives.
- Coach colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the Digital Assets discipline within the bank.
Working Environment
You will be part of the Digital Assets team within the Innovation department of ABN AMRO. Innovation works closely with business units, functions and external partners to deliver the bank's innovation agenda.
The Digital Assets team focuses on developing innovative business models, capabilities and propositions in areas such as tokenised securities, crypto-assets and stablecoins. Initiatives increasingly span multiple business units and entities, requiring close collaboration across the organisation and with external ecosystem partners.
Requirements
- A future-oriented mindset.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business, financial, economic or technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience within financial services, capital markets, asset management, fintech, financial market infrastructure, exchanges, custody, Digital Assets firms or related sectors.
- Deep knowledge of tokenisation, blockchain technology, crypto-assets, stablecoins and the broader Digital Assets ecosystem. This is a mandatory requirement.
- A strong understanding of financial markets and how Digital Assets are transforming them.
- Experience developing business cases, strategic propositions and innovation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
- An established network within the Digital Assets ecosystem.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, connecting strategy and execution, and translating complex developments into practical actions that create value for clients and the bank. The exact seniority level and compensation package will depend on experience, expertise and demonstrated autonomy during the recruitment process.
