IT Support Engineer

Details

Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company, with quarterly in-person working sessions called “surges.” The IT Tier 2 Support Engineer will serve as the hands-on technology partner for the London office, supporting hardware, software, and collaboration infrastructure while improving the employee technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day technical support for the London office, resolving hardware, software, networking, and AV/conference room issues across macOS, iOS, Chrome OS, Windows, and Android.
• Drive onboarding and offboarding operations end to end, ensuring new hires are productive on Day 1 and departures are handled securely and efficiently.
• Maintain and improve IT documentation, including setup guides, troubleshooting runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Partner with IT Procurement and local vendors to coordinate hardware logistics, supply chain processes, and office technology refresh cycles.
• Lead first-line network and AV troubleshooting, escalating issues to specialized teams with clear diagnostics and context.
• Execute IT Operations scrum team projects that scale support capabilities and reduce manual effort across the global service desk.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, service desk, or endpoint engineering.
• Hands-on experience supporting macOS, iOS, Chrome OS, Windows, and Android in a corporate environment.
• Working proficiency administering SaaS platforms, including Google Workspace, Atlassian Jira Service Management, Okta, Jamf, and Slack.
• Ability to troubleshoot access, provisioning, and integration issues.
• Mid-level networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
• Ability to isolate connectivity issues and escalate them with actionable diagnostics.
• Demonstrated root cause analysis methodology and experience driving systemic fixes.
• Experience coordinating with service vendors and IT procurement teams on hardware logistics, office buildouts, or supply chain workflows.
• Ability to use generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight and delivering business-ready outputs.

Compensation

The annual base salary is £58,800 GBP, excluding equity and bonus. Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
