Details

ING Hubs Poland is hiring for a Model Risk Specialist position. The expected salary is 9,600–18,000 PLN gross per month. The financial ranges specified in the announcement are adjusted and may differ from the range specified in the remuneration regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of model inventory data at portfolio level to assess model risk.
  • Identify root causes of MRAS threshold breaches and monitor ongoing action plans intended to keep model risk measures within defined MRAS limits.
  • Define portfolio-level analysis conclusions, communicate key messages to relevant stakeholders, and initiate actions and escalations through the model risk reporting and governance process.
  • Review model risk topics, including model identification and model waivers, and provide advice throughout the Model Life Cycle.
  • Support model risk control activities at portfolio level, including attestation processes, sampling approaches, model inventory data quality reviews, and annual reviews of framework documents.
  • Prepare model inventory analyses and provide qualitative insights for model landscape and model risk reporting.
  • Drive governance topics at model portfolio level by submitting and presenting MoRM reports to stakeholders, the MoRM management team, and governance bodies.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and support audit requests and remediation activities in collaboration with other tribes and stakeholders.
  • Deliver information sessions and reporting to relevant stakeholders and participate in training delivery.
  • Influence strategic changes in stakeholder behavior, moving from operational activities toward portfolio management of risk levels.
  • Interact with model owners and other stakeholders to foster accountability and ownership of model risk within the first line of defence.
  • Maintain solid technical knowledge of iModel and draft business requirements and specifications for requested changes.

Requirements

  • Quantitative degree and experience in data analytics.
  • Professional risk management skills with hands-on model risk experience, preferably more than two years in model risk management.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and ethical guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Design-thinking skills.
  • Experience in corporate governance and in-depth knowledge of Model Risk Management Framework principles are advantageous.
  • Experience participating in end-to-end modelling, framework and governance initiatives or projects, and change management is advantageous.
  • Automation experience in Python, VBA, or the SAS MRM tool is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of data quality framework design and implementation, monitoring and control activities, and validation rules on datasets is advantageous.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization platforms is advantageous.
  • Understanding of project management and experience participating in projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including communicating with and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to recognize correlations and dependencies between squads across different parts of the organization.
