Product Manager, Beneficial Deployments (Labs)

Anthropic Labs is seeking a Product Manager for Beneficial Deployments to identify and develop new AI-enabled product categories and programs that extend the benefits of frontier AI to nonprofits, public agencies, and other mission-driven organizations. The role owns 0-to-1 product bets and programs that help beneficial organizations access and successfully deploy Claude.

Responsibilities

• Identify where emerging AI capabilities could improve outcomes for underserved populations.
• Work with researchers to understand emerging capabilities and their implications for users.
• Build prototypes and MVPs to validate ideas and product-market fit before committing significant resources.
• Lead 0-to-1 product development from research and internal prototypes through shipped products.
• Define product strategy for experimental initiatives beyond Anthropic's current offerings.
• Lead vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for frontier technologies addressing real-world problems.
• Design and run programs that provide beneficial organizations across relevant pillars with access to Claude.
• Own the path from organizational access to successful deployment by identifying and removing adoption barriers.

Requirements

• Experience shipping products at a large technology company and collaborating at scale with engineering, legal, policy, and go-to-market teams.
• Deep technical background and experience shipping technical products with engineering teams.
• Track record of products or programs reaching a large number of users or organizations.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, work across new domains, and find simple solutions.
• Ability to think creatively about the risks and benefits of emerging technologies beyond existing checklists and playbooks.
• Hands-on experience with emerging research and AI prototyping tools such as Claude Code.
• Preferred: 5+ years of product management or equivalent operating experience, including launching new products and scaling existing ones.
• Preferred: Experience in a civic institution, public agency, nonprofit, or other beneficial organization.
• Preferred: Experience founding a company or organization, or being among the first people building one.
• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Compensation

• Annual salary: $385,000–$460,000 USD.

Work Policy and Sponsorship

• Hybrid policy: Staff are expected to work from one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more office time.
• Anthropic sponsors visas and makes reasonable efforts to obtain visas for offers, although sponsorship is not guaranteed for every role or candidate.
