Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to support its Presales Solution Engineering team. The Field Engineering team provides the tools, collateral, enablement, backend systems, content, and subject matter expertise needed to help Solution Engineers scale and focus on customer selling, community building, learning, and adoption activities.

Responsibilities

Anticipate the needs of the Solutions Engineering Team.
Design, develop, and deliver technical presentations and white papers.
Create and deliver training materials, product demonstrations, and product workshops for the One-X organization, customers, and the community.
Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams to support customer engagements.
Become a subject matter expert on one or more Grafana products and assist the field with deep-dive technical meetings, large strategic proofs of value, blogs, webinars, and related activities.

Requirements

5+ years of technical experience as an SRE, developer, architect, and/or successful presales Solution Architect. Open-source software selling experience is a plus.
Deep understanding of at least two or three observability technologies, such as Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Elastic, Splunk, or Datadog.
Experience planning and executing a corporate observability strategy.
Comfortable working with at least one modern programming language.
Understanding of the modern software development lifecycle, including debugging and investigation.
Working familiarity with Linux and common Linux tools.
Ability to architect a modern application on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
Understanding of build-versus-buy tradeoffs and technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, and microservices.
Experience building and delivering technical content for technical audiences, including workshops, demos, slide decks, webinars, and videos.

Compensation And Benefits

Annual on-target earnings compensation in the Netherlands: EUR 96,000–116,000.
