Airbnb's Roadmap Planning & Program Management team sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, planning and delivering priority products while providing executives with the visibility and input needed to guide bi-annual releases.
The role drives impact on the company roadmap and scales product-focused program management through cross-functional collaboration with design, product marketing, engineering, supply, marketing, operations, and other teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering, product marketing, design, community support, and other cross-functional teams to deliver software product programs with high quality and on schedule.
- Understand dependencies across functions to optimize the overall system and deliver high-quality offerings at scale.
- Communicate complex topics clearly and effectively.
- Anticipate risks and issues and proactively develop mitigation strategies in a fast-paced environment.
- Connect strategy and execution using an experienced product mindset.
- Develop strategic program plans tailored to each initiative.
- Adapt communication style and approach across different organizational levels.
- Collaborate effectively while understanding consumer, technology, and design considerations.
- Drive issues to resolution beyond status reporting.
- Apply best practices, improve processes, and simplify operations.
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience in a combination of program management, product management, or business operations, managing sophisticated software product programs end to end in a creative-led, fast-paced environment.
- Strong product and/or technology experience, including product management or software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated ability to ship software products at global scale while overcoming varied challenges.
- Critical thinking skills to develop bespoke program plans tailored to specific program needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Exceptional influencing and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and act as a trusted agent for change with business leaders, including executives.
- Track record of managing ambitious and operationally complex projects with cross-functional teams across product development, product marketing, design, marketing, and operations.
- Expertise using program management tools such as Airtable, Asana, Jira, and Smartsheet.
- Ability to thrive amid ambiguity in a fast-paced, hyper-growth organization.
Location
The successful applicant must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Employees cannot be located in Alaska, Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Delaware, or Rhode Island. This list is continuously updated.
Compensation
The base pay range is $212,000–$265,000 USD. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. Multiple openings are available.
