Details

Grafana Labs is seeking a customer-facing Solutions Engineer to serve as a product expert and technical bridge between customers, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering. The role focuses on Grafana Cloud, observability, open-source technologies, and helping customers understand and successfully adopt Grafana Labs solutions.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
Own technical customer engagements and help close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
Deliver product and technical presentations to potential and existing customers.
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, providing feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems.
Enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public or private enablement materials.
Listen to prospects and customers, understand their requirements, ask the appropriate questions, and translate those requirements into solutions using Grafana Labs technology.

Requirements

5+ years of technical pre-sales experience.
Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills, with openness to varied and complex assignments.
Excellent written and oral communication skills for collaborating with remote-first internal teams and worldwide customers.
Ability to articulate the value proposition and technical advantages of products.
Enjoyment of solving technical challenges and developing creative customer solutions.
A technical mindset and desire to continue growing technically.
Must be located in the United Kingdom.

Bonus Points

Experience with open-source technologies.
Experience in the metrics or monitoring space.
Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)ICC.
