Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its Enterprise Solutions Engineering team. The team consists of customer-facing product experts who support worldwide growth by educating potential and existing customers, delivering technical enablement, and helping customers succeed with Grafana Cloud and its open observability platform.

The role partners closely with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to support technical evaluations, communicate product expertise, and provide customer feedback. The ideal candidate has experience with technical pre-sales, preferably involving open-source technologies or metrics and monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Join a high-growth team focused on solving technical and customer problems.
• Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Own technical customer engagements and help close high-velocity opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical presentations to potential and existing customers.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams to provide feedback about products and the competitive landscape.
• Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems identified during interactions.
• Enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public and internal enablement materials.

Requirements

• Ideally located on the West Coast of the United States.
• 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with open-source technologies or in the metrics and monitoring space.
• Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills in a startup environment with varied and complex responsibilities.
• Ability to work and collaborate effectively with an international, remote-first team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to articulate Grafana's value proposition and the technical advantages of its products.
• Enjoyment of solving technical challenges and developing creative customer solutions.
• A technical mindset and desire to continue growing technically.
• Candidates may have experience from a coding bootcamp, post-sales role, or engineering background.
• Self-motivation, initiative, and creativity.

Compensation And Benefits

• United States on-target earnings compensation range: $204,000–$254,000 per year.
