Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its Enterprise Solutions Engineering team. The team consists of customer-facing product experts who educate prospective and existing customers through demos, hands-on enablement, presentations, technical evaluations, and ongoing technical engagement. Solutions Engineers also partner closely with Sales to qualify and close opportunities and communicate customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Join an early, high-growth team solving technical and customer problems.
• Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana’s value proposition, vision, and strategy.
• Own technical customer engagements and help close high-velocity opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical presentations to prospective and existing customers.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
• Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems.
• Enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge-base articles, and create public and internal enablement materials.

Requirements

• Ideally located on the West Coast of the United States.
• 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with open-source technologies or in the metrics and monitoring space.
• Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership in a startup environment with varied and complex responsibilities.
• Ability to work and collaborate effectively with an international, remote-first team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to articulate Grafana’s value proposition and the technical advantages of its products.
• Enjoyment of solving technical challenges and creating solutions for customers.
• A technical mindset and desire to grow technically.
• Candidates may have post-sales or engineering experience, or may be recent coding bootcamp graduates.
• Self-motivation, initiative, and creativity.

Compensation & Rewards

• United States on-target earnings compensation range: $204,000–$254,000 per year.
• Compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skill set.
• All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
