Details
NVIDIA is looking for a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer to join its Metropolis team in Santa Clara, California. Metropolis delivers agents, vision-language models (VLMs), video-understanding pipelines, and AI Blueprints for smart factories, warehouses, cities, retail stores, traffic intersections, and public safety operations.
The role involves working in a small, autonomous team to rapidly prototype and ship demos, agents, and reference applications for Metropolis launches, GTC keynotes, and flagship customer engagements. The position requires deep technical expertise, an AI-native development style, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence product direction.
Responsibilities
- Invent and ship demos, agents, and reference applications featuring agentic Vision AI, multi-agent workflows, video understanding, VLM pipelines, and model fine-tuning.
- Move from whiteboard concepts to customer prototypes within days using agentic IDEs and AI-assisted coding tools.
- Engage with customers, partner developers, and the global developer ecosystem to understand workflows, challenges, and roadmaps and translate that input into reference designs.
- Develop training toolkits, demo scripts, reference architectures, technical blogs, and whitepapers for the global sales force, partner engineers, and developer community.
- Represent NVIDIA at GTC, industry conferences, webinars, and partner events.
- Author bylined posts accompanying shipped demos.
- Partner with product management and product marketing on go-to-market and developer-engagement strategies for Metropolis capabilities.
- Collaborate with architecture, research, libraries, tools, product management, and system software engineering teams to influence next-generation Metropolis platforms.
- Drive product capabilities and roadmap changes into Metropolis, with contributions visible across Product, Research, and Engineering.
- Travel approximately 30% for on-site customer visits, conferences, and developer events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with solid internships.
- At least 2 years of experience in applied AI, including VLMs, agentic frameworks, model training and fine-tuning, and modern agent orchestration such as NVIDIA Agent Toolkit, LangGraph, or MCP.
- Fluency with agentic IDEs and AI-assisted coding workflows, supported by strong coding fundamentals.
- A demonstrated bias toward building, such as public demos, GitHub repositories, or shipped projects.
- Outstanding communication and customer-empathy skills, with enthusiasm for working with developers, customers, and conference audiences.
- Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and turn concise problem statements into working artifacts and recommendations.
- Ability to bring original ideas and contribute actively to brainstorming.
- A track record of turning customer feedback into product outcomes, including features, models, or roadmap changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA's Physical AI and agentic stack, including Metropolis, Nemotron, NVIDIA Agent Toolkit, NIM, AI Blueprints, Cosmos, DeepStream, Isaac, and Omniverse.
- Experience shipping agentic Vision AI applications in production, including multi-agent orchestration, tool use, agent skills, and evaluations.
- Foundation-model post-training experience, including supervised fine-tuning (SFT), reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), and distillation for vision and multimodal models.
- A public footprint of repositories, demos, or talks demonstrating an AI-tool-native development style.
- A demonstrable record of customer-focused product influence.
Benefits
- Base salary range of USD 116,000 to USD 184,000 per year, determined by location, experience, and comparable employee compensation.
- Eligibility for equity.
- Comprehensive benefits package.
Applications will be accepted at least until August 4, 2026. This posting is for an existing vacancy. NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer.
