Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. Employees are expected to meet quarterly for in-person working sessions called “surges.”

The Stablecoin team within the Developer product group builds and operates platforms that power stablecoin issuance, growth, and ecosystem expansion at Coinbase. This role will help deliver a suite of international stablecoins by evaluating and integrating external partner APIs, building backend services for issuance and operations, and contributing to rewards and growth systems across Retail, Exchange, Prime, and Custody products.

Responsibilities

Build backend services that power stablecoin issuance, onboarding, and operations, including integrating external partner APIs with internal systems to launch new international stablecoins.
Own end-to-end delivery of features from technical design through production, working with product managers, designers, and tech leads on scope and implementation.
Support smart contracts that mint, burn, and safeguard stablecoin supply, working with senior engineers on design and security reviews.
Partner with teams across Stablecoins UX, Growth, and Ecosystem to deliver rewards, incentive, and conversion features that drive stablecoin adoption.
Execute reliability and quality improvements across the stablecoin platform.
Write well-tested code and contribute to observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.

Requirements

2+ years of experience building and maintaining production backend services in a service-oriented architecture.
Proficiency in Go and exposure to blockchain fundamentals, including Ethereum or similar EVM chains.
Experience evaluating, integrating, and operating third-party APIs and external partner systems.
Ability to deliver features end-to-end with autonomy, from design through deployment and ongoing operation.
Familiarity with distributed systems patterns and a track record of writing high-quality, well-tested production code.
Ability to use generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Compensation

Annual base salary: $152,405–$179,300 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
