Details

Glean is building a Work AI platform that combines enterprise search, an AI Assistant, scalable AI agents, enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph provide personalized, context-aware responses and support agentic capabilities across enterprise data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the Admin Console engineering team, providing strong technical direction.
  • Own architecture and execution for core admin-facing workflows, including data source setup, security configuration, deployment management, and feature rollout controls.
  • Partner closely with Product and Design to simplify complex enterprise workflows and create an intuitive, scalable admin experience.
  • Help evolve the Admin Console from a system centered on crawlers and data setup into a broader control plane for enterprise context, actions, governance, and AI capability management.
  • Improve self-serve activation so administrators can launch their organizations faster with less dependence on human support.
  • Improve visibility into crawl health, connector status, indexing progress, permissions, and rollout readiness.
  • Build systems and workflows that help administrators safely scale Glean across users, teams, and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with backend, connector, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver unified admin experiences on top of platform and infrastructure layers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience building production distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong coding skills in at least one of Python, Go, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
  • Product-minded approach, with an emphasis on customer impact, clear SLAs/SLOs, and pragmatic iteration.
  • Ownership-driven and proactive, with the ability to lead projects and learn from experienced engineers.
  • Experience building enterprise SaaS, enterprise platforms, admin consoles, or similarly configurable product experiences.
  • Experience working on products where usability, governance, permissions, and technical complexity are important.
  • Experience mentoring engineers with different technical strengths, including frontend and backend engineers.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and shape roadmaps, architecture, and team execution in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and comfort partnering with Product, Design, Security, and Platform teams.
