Details

Grafana Labs is seeking a Solutions Engineer to serve as a customer-facing product expert for Grafana Cloud, its fully managed observability platform. The Solutions Engineering team supports global growth by educating prospective and existing customers through demonstrations, hands-on enablement, presentations, technical evaluations, and ongoing engagement. The role partners closely with Sales to qualify and close opportunities and acts as a communication bridge between customers, Product Management, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
Own technical customer engagements and help close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
Deliver product and technical presentations to prospective and existing customers.
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems.
Enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public or private enablement materials.

Requirements

5+ years of technical pre-sales experience.
Openness to varied and complex assignments requiring strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with remote-first internal teams and worldwide customers.
Ability to articulate Grafana's value proposition and the technical advantages of its products.
Enjoyment of solving technical challenges and developing creative solutions for customers.
A technical mindset and desire to continue growing technically.
Must be located in the UK.

Bonus Points

Experience with open-source technologies or in the metrics and monitoring space.
Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)ICC.

Compensation and Benefits

UK on-target earnings compensation range of £99,000–£124,000 per year.
